I believe that leadership is something we all need to become experts at, and it starts with how we lead ourselves.
I am passionate about learning to lead ourselves well so that we can also lead others in our families, our teams, our communities, and our organizations.
We will never be perfect leaders. What we can be is intentional.
Before launching my own business, I spent 25 years working as an HR practitioner: starting in recruiting, moving to an HR generalist position, then to HR Business Partner, to a talent strategy role, and then to a regional HR leadership role. I have seen what good leadership looks like and where leadership wasn't done well, including times when I wasn't showing up the way I intended.
Sharing my ideas through my writing and speaking engagements has allowed me to consider my perspectives more thoroughly and to improve my own leadership capabilities.
I am the mother of two young adults who are starting to live their dreams. I love the energy of a running race, reading a good book on the beach, and drinking a full-bodied red wine.
