I believe that we can all live the lives we dream of.

I am passionate about each of us being the CEOs of our lives, particularly our careers.

I am passionate about employers creating workplaces that don't suck, where people want to build their careers and feel like they belong.

I remind us that we are imperfect leaders of ourselves and others but that we can be intentional in our leadership style to make the impact we desire.

Before launching my own business, I spent 25 years working as an HR practitioner: starting in recruiting, moving to an HR generalist position, then to HR Business Partner, to a talent strategy role, and then to a regional HR leadership role.  I have seen what good leadership looks like and where leadership wasn't done well, including times when I wasn't showing up the way I intended.

Sharing my ideas through my writing and speaking engagements has allowed me to consider my perspectives more thoroughly and to improve my own leadership capabilities.

I am the mother of two young adults who are starting to live their dreams. I love the energy of a running race, reading a good book on the beach, and drinking a full-bodied red wine.
